Clickfree PC Backup Systems Compared - Clickfree

Clickfree is a commercial all-in-one hardware and software solution for creating and maintaining no-click backups. It’s based on an external USB hard drive that requires no software installation or configuration. You just plug it in and it backs up your data completely automatically. Available in 120GB and 160GB models, the hard drive is connected to the PC with a twin-ended USB cable. This should be connected to two USB ports, one of which powers the device while the other is used for data transfer, enabling Clickfree to be used in situations where no external power source is available.

    Key features:

    • Configurable backup folders
Although Clickfree is designed to automatically identify and back up user files, it is possible to specify folders that wouldn’t otherwise be included via the Options button that is displayed whenever the device is plugged in. Doing this doesn’t affect the system’s no-click operation.

    • Built-in restore function
Selected files or entire backups may be restored at any time, by plugging in the device and selecting the Restore button displayed on the startup screen.

    • Support for multiple PCs
Clickfree supports up to ten PCs, assuming that the combined data to be backed up doesn’t exceed the capacity of the device. When this is the case, a warning message is displayed and the settings must be adjusted to reduce the volume of data to within the device’s capacity before the backup will commence.

The Clickfree system is available from the suppliers listed on the product website at http://www.goclickfree.com/
