Well, it's not PHP, but you can't have everything. This is a nifty little program written in Perl. Small, compact, and very functional.

The first thing I noticed about this program was the lack of glitz. It is straight-forward and to the point. One of the features they boast about this application is its adherence to standard HTML and nothing but HTML to get the job done. This is a great feature if you need to access your databases from a variety of web browsers. Most web based database administration scripts out there are not very cross browser functional. This one passes that test with flying colors.

The same thing I just praised is also a drawback. If I'm not worried about browser compatibility, I love the glitz! And this script has none. No row highlighting. No error checking before going to the next page. These things are nice and I enjoy them in a script. But, I understand what they were going after here.

I must say that the query builder in the application is superb! Choose the table you want to work with and then choose what statement (select, update, insert, etc) you want to execute. You are then presented with another screen where you can build your query. Of course, you can also just type your query into the box.

Which, brings me to another great feature, you can save queries. This is very cool. After laboring on that long query, just hit the save button so you can use it at anytime. This is a great feature that I wish more would incorporate.

This product is definately worth checking out. They have a demo available at their website so that you can play around with it.
