PHPAudit is an application that was developed by the gang over at SolidPHP in an effort to make application distribution and licensing a breeze, leaving you, the coder, more time to do what you do best. One of the things that I liked a lot about this software was the web-driven interface it uses. Within a few clicks of the mouse, I can deploy, manage, or delete an application. I can also manage licenses, and even generate code to interface with the source encryption method they use, Ioncube. This is definitely a quick and easy way to get your PHP applications out the door to the end user.

Another thing that I found useful was the ability to see my application statistics, again, at the click of a mouse. You can view the current applications, active licenses, expired licenses, suspended licenses, etc. With an onboard search engine, you can easily view information on a licensee, giving you valuable, real time information on your users should you need it. To make things even better, this tool allows your end users to pay through SEVEN different payment gateways, including PayPal, which was added in the last release. You no longer have to fumble around with home grown e-commerce utilities when you wish to peddle your software!
Last, but definitely not the least valuable tool, there is also an integrated utility that you can use to build your very own email templates. The templates are used in the application to send out licensing information, client name, etc. Overall, this creates a dynamic, and seemingly personable email to the client in which the software is registered.
With all of these valuable utilities bundled into one seemless application, I would have to say that the SolidPHP folks did a fantastic job on this one. When it comes down to it, the value of time saved alone outweighs the cost of the application itself!
