    All About OpenOffice 3.0

No doubt, OpenOffice 3 is giving Microsoft Office a run for its money. Developers have worked on this suite for three years, and have created newer and more robust functions. While the suite offers some features you will find in Microsoft Office, there are others that you will not find. OpenOffice 3 offers flexibility and compatibility with other programs, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Flash. OpenOffice also works with multiple operating systems, such as Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, and GNU/Linux.

    Introduction

Perhaps one of the most attractive features OpenOffice 3 offers is that it's free. This robust suite is designed for you to easily install on your PC or in your office. It's also designed to be easy to use. For one, OpenOffice is designed to be one piece of software. That way, applications will work seamlessly with each other. You will also find its "Help" component valuable.

OpenOffice has been in business for over 20 years. This suite is open source, meaning that you can save your data in an international open standard format. As a result, you can read and write your files in other office software packages. In addition, you can report flaws or send comments to OpenOffice.org , suggesting you want new features or enhancements to the suite.

Not only is OpenOffice 3 easy to use, you can use the same content across all of the applications that make up the suite. If you're constantly looking for new features, OpenOffice.org distributes software releases several times a year. Extensions play an essential role to OpenOffice. It is a growing suite in that it increasingly supports new extensions, giving developers a wide choice of options from which to choose.

Like Microsoft Office, OpenOffice 3 is a software suite that consists of the following applications: word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and database. Unlike Microsoft Office, OpenOffice 3 does provide a graphics tool. This graphics tool is similar to CorelDRAW. If English is not your native language, OpenOffice is available in other languages .

You can use OpenOffice 3 to run your business or for personal use. Unlike Microsoft Office, you can copy OpenOffice 3 and distribute it freely to your colleagues, friends, or family. Learn about the features OpenOffice 3 offers. Then, get started by downloading the suite from OpenOffice.org's website .
