Adding Mail with Exim - Conclusion

If the mail server was not detected during the compilation process then the error message "mail() not supported in this PHP build" is shown. The mail server must be installed before installing PHP, so once Exim has been installed and a link made that masks it as Sendmail, it's necessary to reconfigure and compile PHP. Once PHP detects the Sendmail/Exim binary and has been recompiled and installed, the mail function will be available.
